History:
The Domaine de Chevalier has a very ancient origin. In the 18th century, it was called “Chibaley” (knight in Gascon). In 1983, the property was acquired by the Bernard family, French leaders in the brandy market and major merchants of fine Bordeaux wines. It has been managed since then by Oliver Bernard. In keeping with the history of Chevalier, he perpetuates the spirit of balance and the quest for perfection that has marked the production of this excellent wine for over 130 years.
Domaine de Chevalier white, a remarkable wine for ageing, is recognised as one of the greatest dry white wines in the world! “Only the great terroirs allow the vine to draw the quintessence necessary for the mineral, noble and authentic expression of a great wine. Rémi Edange
Environmental approach: more than 50% of the estate is biodynamically farmed, and part of it is under conventional organic farming. The rest is cultivated using conventional methods.
