History of the château: Nestled in the heart of the Alpilles mountains since 1489, Château d’Estoublon is one of the great estates of the Baux-de-Provence appellation. The estate has been inhabited since Roman times, while the present building dates from the 17th century. The Château has been entirely renovated to accommodate prestigious guests in its 10 suites, in search of a certain art of living. The 300-hectare property faces due south on the limestone foothills of the Baux-de-Provence. The 18 hectare vineyard includes many grape varieties: Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Roussane, Marsanne, Cinsault and Tibouren. Finally, 120 hectares of olive groves surround the Château. Agriculture is organic, sustainable and respectful of the terroir.
