AOC Fronsac

Blend: 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc

Ageing: 12 months in 30% new barrels

Score : 93/100 james suckling

A deep vermilion colour with a developed and elegant nose of undergrowth and fresh truffles.
The palate is ample and mellow, the tannins are melted and silky, a very fine substance in short. The finish is beautifully fresh and reminiscent of liquorice.
A harmonious and full-bodied wine, with an elegance and complexity that is the image of Château de La Dauphine.

The château was built between 1744 and 1750 by Jean-Baptiste DE RICHON, lawyer at the Parliament of Paris, Civil and Criminal Judge of the Duchy of Fronsac.
