History:
Château Sipian was already listed in 1839 among the “Bons Bourgeois”. It was classified “Cru Bourgeois” in 1932. In the 1960s, the 3 wine estates in the commune of Valeyrac were divided into 13 holdings through inheritance. In 1978, Bernard and Nicole Mehaye acquired 8 hectares of the appellation. Today the estate, which has been under the control of Frédéric Mehaye since 1989, covers 22 hectares and enables it to meet international demand.
