AOC Médoc

Blend : Cabernet sauvignon 48%, Merlot 30%, Petit verdot 20%, Cabernet franc 1%, Carménère 1%.

Ageing : 40% new barrels Duration : 14 months

Aroma : The colour is a deep red. The nose is simple, halfway between red fruits and the beginning of a tertiary side. On the palate, the wine is lightly textured and is a perfect accompaniment to tapas shared with friends. A simple wine, with well-integrated tannins, with a taste once again of red and black fruits and the beginning of a tertiary side (undergrowth, precious wood).

About the property :

Owner: Mulliez family

Geology: Gravel and clay

Surface Area: 15 ha

History :

Acquired by Vincent Mulliez in 2004, Château Belle-Vue comes from an exceptional terroir whose history is intertwined with that of Bordeaux wines. Once the seat of an active inland waterway industry, the Château is now renowned for its vineyards. The estate has been highly regarded since the 19th century, and has won many awards: a Gold Medal in Amsterdam in 1895, a Silver Medal in Brussels in 1897, in Paris in 1900 and in Bordeaux in 1907. The last vintages have also been regularly distinguished in competitions and by the international press. Since the premature death of Vincent Mulliez in 2010, his wife Isabelle has taken over the estate. She continues with determination the work initiated by her husband. Indeed, this rigorous and enterprising man had succeeded in a few years in imposing his 3 properties, Belle-Vue, Gironville and Bolaire among the Médoc’s crus.
