AOC Pessac-Léognan - Blanc Assemblage : 90% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Sauvignon Gris, 5% Sémillon Élevage : 12 mois sur lies avec bâtonnage en barriques (50 % neuves et 50 % ayant accueilli un vin) D’une belle robe jaune paille brillante, ce vin offre une grande expression aromatique dominée par les agrumes et les fruits à chair blanche. Une très belle complexité aromatique. La bouche est tendue avec une attaque franche, puis onctueuse avec une belle matière et une bonne concentration. On retrouve le grand équilibre des Smith Haut Lafitte blanc où la richesse et l’acidité jouent une gamme parfaite alliant élégamment l’onctuosité et la fraicheur finale. Cette finale est très belle, très longue, très fraiche. -

Bettane & Desseauve, April 2017: 96/100 Great white fruit aroma, sappy, broad and long, beautiful ripe grape in evidence and great naturalness. JM Quarin, April 2017: 94/100 The best ever made! Very nice full entry where the wine develops immediately tasty and melts away, airy and extremely fruity. Long finish. I prefer this style.

Le premier nez est assez discret avec des notes de fruits jaunes caractéristiques d’une belle maturité. A l’agitation le nez prend toute son ampleur et sa dimension révélant une grande complexité de fruits jaunes et blancs. En bouche, le vin est croquant et gourmand avec un très bel équilibre entre onctuosité et fraicheur ; le milieu de bouche est riche avec une belle texture veloutée et sa finale, très longue, met en avant la fraicheur et la complexité aromatique.

La robe est noire, très dense, très profonde. Le nez est déjà expressif avec un mélange de fruits noirs et rouges et d’épices, très caractéristiques de la grande maturité sans excès de ce millésime. L’agitation révèle encore plus de complexité avec des notes florales délicates. La bouche est large, dense, puissante, concentrée, riche en tanins sans pour autant faire de concession à l’équilibre, la fraicheur et la délicatesse. -

The palate is balanced and frank with a nice balance between substance, density and freshness. The finish is very long with fresh red fruits, licorice, cinnamon and smoky notes. -
