Château Pontet Canet
5ème Cru Classé en 1855
Appellation Pauillac
Château Pontet Canet lies in the heart of the Pauillac appellation. Guy Tesseron, Cognac negociant and fine wine collector, bought the property in 1975 and today, his sons, Alfred and Gérard, have continued the gradual reconstruction of the domaine. Their model winery, which includes a metallic structure built by Eiffel, was extended in the 19th century to enable the harvest to be carried to the tanks by gravity. In 2005, Chateau Pontet Canet inaugurated a new winery that combined modernity with a firm respect of traditional techniques and enabled the vinification of small volumes and even greater precision in their winemaking.
