Château Montrose
2ème Cru Classé en 1855
Appellation Saint Estèphe
Chateau Montrose is one of the Médoc's best located vineyards, set right in the heart of Saint Estèphe, sloping down from the primary ridge to the majestic Gironde. Considered one of the best of Saint Estèphe, Montrose is reputed to be the commune's cleanest and best kept cellars. Over the years it has become associated with huge, dense, powerful wines that needed several decades of cellaring to be soothing enough to drink. Montrose is prized for its classic Claret style and its persistent, rich, fruity and well structured finish.
