Le millésime 2012 offre une belle densité, notamment sur le fruité. Son profil demeure de style classique.

English Version Blend: 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc

Robert Parker, RobertParker.com (218), April 2015: 86/100

The second wine of Lynch-Bages, the 2012 Echo is a light to medium-bodied, slightly one-dimensional style of wine with ripe blackcurrant and cherry fruit. It does not offer much depth or body, and its soft, easygoing finish borders on innocuous, but it is pleasant. It should be drunk over the next 5-7 years. Drink: 2015-2022.

Antonio Galloni, vinous.com, January 2016: 88/100

A soft, juicy red, the 2012 Echo de Lynch-Bages is a pretty wine to drink over the next handful of years, while the fruit remains vibrant. Sweet red plum, dried flowers and menthol open nicely, with a hint of over-ripe fruit that lingers on the finish. The blend is 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Drink 2016-2024.

Derek Smedley MW, April 2013: 86-90/100

Cassis dominates the nose rich and ripe and the palate has a good depth of sweet fruit. Towards the back it feels firmer with black cherry and very definite tannins. 2018-30.

Château Lynch Bages-5ème Cru Classé en 1855-Appellation Pauillac
Château Lynch Bages Château Lynch Bages was owned by the Lynch family for three quarters of a century. Their ancestor, John Lynch, a young Irishman from Galway was exiled from his country in 1691. In the 18th century, Count Jean-Baptiste Lynch, Mayor of Bordeaux, inherited the estate and handed over management to his brother Michel Lynch, who was also Mayor of Pauillac during the French Revolution.

Jean-Charles Cazes, highly respected in the Médoc for his experience in viticulture and winemaking, bought the property in 1934. With his son André, he devoted all his energy to Lynch-Bages for more than 35 years. In 1974, his grand-son Jean-Michel set about restructuring the estate. Situated at the gates of Pauillac, overlooking the Gironde estuary from the crest of one of the most beautiful gravel ridges of the commune, the vineyards lie on gravelly slopes located on the south and south west extremities of the town.
