Appellation Haut-Médoc
Château La Lagune, is the first classified château that greets you on the drive to Medoc from the famous D2 from the city of Bordeaux. The Chateau is also one of the best known and most appreciated by wine lovers. La Lagune has undergone a renaissance, involving gradual replanting and new trellising in the vineyards, the construction of an innovative state of the art winery, featuring a new vat room and extended ageing cellar – and an entirely renovated château. In 2004, 28-year old Caroline Frey, took charge of oenology and winemaking at Château La Lagune. After graduating at the top of her class at the Faculty of Oenology in Bordeaux in 2003, she spent two years working with Denis Dubourdieu to hone her technical knowledge and skill.
