Ce millésime est la preuve qu'il n'existe plus de mauvaise année dans une propriété comme La Conseillante. Malgré une météo contrastée, 2007 se présente comme un vin facile, axé sur le fruit plus que sur la concentration. Sa couleur rubis, son nez de fruits mûrs et d'amande fraîche, sans aucune verdeur, et sa bouche à la trame élégante et très précise, fidèle à l'esprit de la propriété, en font un millésime de plaisir, à apprécier dans sa jeunesse
Robert Parker – 89/100 Drink 2010-2020 This big, juicy, spicy Pomerol exhibits aromas and flavors of mulberries, raspberries, violets, licorice, and a touch of herbs. Made in a medium-bodied, upfront style, this round, seductive wine should drink well for 7-10 years. Drink 2010-2020. Jancis Robinson – 17,5/20 Drink 2010-2016 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc. Quite dark crimson. Very fruity, polished nose. Extremely supple with tannins you really have to concentrate to discern. Sweet, voluptuous start and then a streak of greenness on the palate (notable both times I tasted it). Light and flirtatious with only just enough substance for the grandeur of this property’s grand vin. Drink 2010-16 Neal Martin – 91-93/100 Drink - The nose is very backward with a very savoury, coffee-scented nose. It almost seems under-ripe at first – but it is not. The palate is tannic, very well balanced and delineation with no signs of greenness. Nice grip, grainy, bright blackberry and raspberry with a touch of plum towards the finish. Very focused and great length. Shows its breeding in a difficult vintage. A quietly impressive Pomerol, one that should gain a higher score after bottling. Tasted April 2008. |

The name « La Conseillante » first appeared in the middle of the 18th century. The property was named after Catherine Conseillan, who ran the estate 300 years ago. In 1871, the Nicolas family bought the domaine which has remained unchanged since. The wine label of “Les Heritiers Nicolas” shows a shield with a silver border enclosing the letter “N” and a violet cap, which represents the flavor of the wine. These images, chosen by the Nicolas brothers in 1871, remain elegantly relevant as we enter the 21st Century. At La Conseillante, each parcel is managed individually at every stage of the winemaking process, thanks to the vats of varying capacities.
