Château Duhart Milon
4ème Cru Classé en 1855
Appellation Pauillac
Château Duhart Milon Acquired in 1962 by the Rothschild family, owners of the famous neighbouring Lafite estate, this chateau had a reputation for producing hard wines – perhaps in honour of the corsair who once owned the estate in the 17th century and gave it his name. A "twin" of Lafite by virtue of its planting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes, as well as by its methods of vinification and ageing, Duhart Milon naturally takes its place among the appellation's great wines.
